Book Supply Bureau (BSB) was established on 1 May 1972. It began by marketing traditional technical books. The road to its current form really began in 1982 when it branched out to specialize in distribution of standards.

BSB first obtained distribution rights to British Standards Institution (BSI), London. Today it is the official distributor for more than 14 agencies and makes a sincere effort to procure standards of other standards developing organizations (SDOs), as an additional service to its high value customers.

The head office of BSB is located at New Delhi with branches at Bangalore, Mumbai and Vadodara. The firm also has representatives and executives in all metros and major cities of India, to serve customer needs.

1996 was the momentous year for BSB whereupon the company started electronic publishing of standards. Today, BSB has the entire ASTM standards in CD-ROM format. We are constantly striving to further upgrade the software and search engine capabilities of our CD-ROM products.

In 2002 BSB had signed agreements with some of the SDOs to download their standards. This list is being expanded year after year and as on date, we are downloading API, AMSE, ASTM, BSI, DIN, IEC and ISO standards.
